On March 26, 2025, Vietnam Seaproducts Joint Stock Corporation (SEAPRODEX) and De Heus Vietnam officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in the fields of shrimp and pangasius. This event not only marks a strategic milestone but also reaffirms the long-term commitment of SEAPRODEX and De Heus Vietnam to promoting sustainable development in Vietnam’s aquaculture industry. The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the 6th Vietnam Shrimp Technology Expo 2025 (VietShrimp 2025), held in Can Tho City.
Representing SEAPRODEX at the ceremony were Mr. Mai Xuan Phong – General Director, Mr. Do Trung Chuyen – Deputy General Director, along with other department heads. Also attending and witnessing the MoU signing were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy – General Director of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), and Mr. Ngo Minh Hien – General Director of Nam Can Seafood Import Export Joint Stock Company.
On behalf of De Heus Vietnam, Mr. Johan van den Ban – General Director, and other leadership representatives were present.

According to the agreement, SEAPRODEX and De Heus Vietnam will collaborate on the sustainable farming of both black tiger and whiteleg shrimp, as well as pangasius fingerlings and commercial pangasius.
Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Aquaculture Development
Through this cooperation, SEAPRODEX and De Heus Vietnam are committed to supporting Vietnamese aquaculture farmers in improving product quality and expanding export potential to international markets, particularly in Europe.
SEAPRODEX will leverage its strength in developing sustainable farming zones, procuring, and processing seafood products that meet export standards, thereby strengthening the value chain for shrimp and pangasius.
De Heus, for its part, demonstrates a commitment to implementing advanced, low-emission, environmentally friendly shrimp and pangasius farming methods. As a leader in animal nutrition and farming solutions, De Heus will provide optimal nutritional solutions, modern aquaculture technical support, disease control measures, and efficient supply chain coordination for shrimp and pangasius, aligned with sustainable development goals. In particular, De Heus Vietnam will also act as a bridge to identify and connect with potential export partners, targeting the promising European market. This partnership is expected to open new opportunities for Vietnam’s seafood industry on the global stage.
Through this collaboration, both parties expressed a desire to explore more future cooperation opportunities. This meaningful event lays a strong foundation for a fruitful partnership between SEAPRODEX and De Heus Vietnam in advancing the sustainable growth of Vietnam’s aquaculture sector.
