Development history
Hanoi Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company (SEAPRODEX HANOI), an enterprise converted from a state-owned enterprise, Hanoi Seafood Import-Export Company, to operate under the joint stock company model from January 1, 2007 according to Business registration certificate No. 0103012492 issued by Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment on December 22, 2006.
Hanoi Seafood Import-Export Company was first established under Decision No. 544HS/QD of the Minister of Seafood dated July 5, 1980 with the name Hanoi Seafood Import-Export Branch under Seafood Import-Export Company Vietnam (Seaprodex Vietnam); Then it was renamed Hanoi Seafood Import-Export Company (Seaprodex Hanoi) by Decision No. 126 TS/QD dated April 16, 1992 of the Minister of Fisheries and re-established by Decision No. 251/QD- TC dated March 31, 1993 of the Minister of Fisheries, is an independent accounting member unit of Vietnam Fisheries Corporation – Ministry of Fisheries.
From the first day of establishment on July 5, 1980 to 2006, Seaprodex Hanoi continuously developed and grew, from a seafood import-export branch with small capital and scale operating under the self-business mechanism, Self-financing (Period 1980 to 1992) has developed into a leading seafood import-export company in the Northern region with a capital of 34,705 billion VND (According to Decision No. 251/QD-TC dated March 31, 1993) .
The period from 1993 to 2006 was a period when the Company developed strongly and became a prestigious and high-ranking Seafood Import-Export Enterprise in the domestic and foreign markets. The company has continuously grown in both scale and financial resources. From the beginning, the Company had only 2 affiliated factories. By 2000, the company had 5 affiliated units. The factories are equipped with modern equipment. The Company’s capital is constantly growing, from 34,705 billion VND in 1993 to 70 billion VND in 2006.
Currently, Hanoi Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company has an initial charter capital of 100 billion VND.
